Objective:
The
adolescent medicine has been developed for 20 years in the international
medicine. However, so far the
adolescent medicine in our country has not begun yet. For the sake of
Chinese adolescent sufferers and development of the adolescent medicine, it
is necessary to conduct the comprehensive investigation and analysis, which
can provide the analytical basis
for establishing Chinese developing mode and constituting the policies
about the adolescent medicine.
Methods: The investigation on the adolescent medicine has been
carried on in two middle schools in Beijing. About 600 students have been
inquired using a questionnaire designed by Beijing Childrens Hospital.
Based on the work, the statistical analysis has been completed with
computers.
Results: By means of statistical analysis, some important problems about
adolescent medicine clinic are investigated in this paper, including the
students choice for the clinic time, position, intercommunication and
medical treatment way, the students expectation for the hospital
configuration, service and environment, and so on.
Conclusion: Based on the above investigation, the following
conclusions are obtained: (1) Because of burdensome studying duty, most
students have to go to hospital only under the condition of the serious
illness. (2) The choice of the clinic time and position usually considers
the premise of no affecting the study. (3) Adolescent patients are not an
independent community. They need the help and support of their parents in
the matter and soul. So the policies about the adolescent medicine should
consider the parents opinions (4) The adolescent sufferers need the
perfect services, including all the medicine specialties, departments and
sociality. (5) In general, the adolescent medicine and psychology are
closely correlative, so doctors are supposed to master the knowledge about
the adolescent medicine and psychology. (6) Doctors are the first
alternative of the youth for the interview and intercommunication about the
adolescent medical problems. They wish to obtain an intuitionistic and
visual guidance. (7) Adolescent sufferers emphasize the requirement of
preserving the privacy, so they usually choose the single room to conduct
the medical diagnosis and hope to be isolated from the other patients. The
doctors of the adolescent medicine can be shared in the sufferers, but the
environment cannot be shared and is required to be relatively independent.
(8) Most of the investigated not only have the medical treatment demands,
but also some diseases in adolescent sufferers are very popular. (9) The
ways that parent units or companies reimburse their children medical fee is
widely accepted.
According to the above analysis, it is necessary to
establish a perfect medical clinic space for adolescent patients, which
requires the emphasis and support of the government and department, support
and help of hospitals, sociality, schools, families and parents.
