Objective:
Complication of B.C.G Immunization are mostly benign. The most one is
adenitis (0.5 -%5) especially in axillary area .The Cause of B.C.G adenitis
is unknown probably delayed hypersensitivity reaction playing the major
role.
Methods:
This study was designed in order to determin the lymphocyte
proliferating activity in two group of patients (with and without adenitis)
using both B.C.G and some other mithogens including PHA
(phytohemmaglutinin) and CONA (concanavaline A). In Lymphocyte
transformation test that has been done for this research, culture of
lymphocytewith mitogen needs age of infants are 3 C 36 month.
Result:
High lymphocyte proliferation was noticed in groups who were
tested with B.C.G or CONA alone and B.C.G + CONA .
Conclusion:
Lymphocyte in group of patients (post immunization adenitis)
proliferate as compared group of control (infant without adenitis) lymphocyte
stimulation highly with mitogen (B.C.G, CONA) and cell mediated immunity
must probably bethe cause of B.C.G adenitis.
