A STUDY ON MONITORING AND INTERVENTION OF IMP AND FIMR IN BEIJING (1992~2000) Wang Huishan, Xue Yuan, Yan Shujuan,

the changing trend of IMR (Infant Mortality Rate) and FIMP (Fetal and
Infant Mortality Rate). Methods: To analyze
the data for monitoring infants of 590 833 in Beijing during 1990~2000. Results: IMR were
reduced from 12.42�� to 6.84�� and FIMR were reduced from 19.43�� to 15.79�� in 1992 to 2000.IMR and FIMR were showed
decreasing trend significantly in three period of 1992��1994,1995��1997,1998��2001(p<0.01),but the decreasing rang of IMR
was large(48%).IMR was higher in rural area than in city .Special rate of
pnemonia was reduced in three period from 2.30�� to 0.59�� and the congenital heart disease was changed
into the first reason of infant deaths. Conclusion: The intervention measure practiced of reducing
IMR were effective in Beijing in 1992��2000.We should devoted attention to FIMR and congenital heart
disease further.
