THE CLINICAL ANALYSIS AND NURSING CARE IN
CHILDREN WITH PEPTIC ULCER

Objective:
To analysis the ulcer locus and the age distribution in 101 children with
peptic ulcer, and to suggest the correlate nursing care.
Methods:
fiber gastroscope inspection
Results:
77 children (76.2% of 101 cases) were diagnosed as duodenum ulcer by fiber
gastroscope. The difference of occur frequency between duodenum and other
ulcer sites is significant. The ulcer frequency was related to the age, and
it was highest in the group of 12~14 years old.
Conclusions:
Peptic ulcer occurred mainly in children with school age. With the second
peak of development, the children had heavy burden of peptic function with
social and study stress, so the school age could be the dangerous age to
occur peptic ulcer. It is suggested that the diet and daily life of the
children are the most important to dredge the mentality of children.
