Objective: Different heart rate
disorders could be detected school children (SC) in our town. These changes
are mainly caused by psychophysical condition, most of them are of
inorganic genesis. But rarely they might have an organic cause.
Methods: We examined the group of 50 children
in elementary and Grammar school of both sexes, age between 7 and 18 years.
We collected history data, performed routine laboratory checks (CBC and
urine), surface electrocardiogram (ECG), Holter monitoring (HM) and
exercise test (ET) and ECHO (echocardiography).
Results: Surface ECG and HM with used to
detect sinus rhythm, wondering pacemaker, nodalrhythm, supraventricular
extrasystols and ventricular ES. In four patients (pts) we detected benign
ventricular tachycardia on HM. ECHO was normal in 30 pts. In 3 pts show
aortic stenosis (1 pts have VT on HM), in 17 cases show prolapsus valvule
mitralis.
Conclusion: Heart rate disturbances in school
patient in our town are mainly benign.
