EVALUATION OF BONE
AGE MATURATION IN PATIENTS WITH IDIOPATHIC GROWTH HORMONE DEFICIENCY
TREATED WITH RECOMBINANT GROWTH HORMONE

Objective: To evaluate the
maturation of bone age (BA)and growth velocity(GV) in patients with GHD
associated with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism treated with recombinant
human growth hormone(r-hGH).
Method: BA andGV were evaluated by
the TW2RUS method standardized for Chinese children in 18 GHD
patients treated with r-hGH for a course of one year.
Results: After one year therapy,the
GV.height age(HA)and BA were significantly increased than before,especially
in the first 6 months.The acceleration of bone maturation(��BA)is faster than the chronological age(��CA),whereas the
acceleration of height age(��HA)
is as fast as ��BA.BA
was significantly correlated with HA during prior and post
