Objective: XIAOER TEIRE LING mini-enema (XETRL) has been effective for
childrens common cold. To observe the pharmacological effect of XETRL, we
conducted animal experiments.
Methods:
(1) Antifebrile test: Fever rabits models induced by injection of
terebenthene were administrated with XETRL into the rectum, in comparing
with Analgin. (2) Anti-inflammatory test:We observed XETRLs acute
anti-inflammatory effect on edema of mice ears, the model was produced by
dimethylbenzene, chronical anti-inflammatory effect on edema of rats feet by
carrageenan,in comparing with that of Asprin. (3) Antivirus test:we
observed XETRLs antivirus effect in mice infected with influenzal
virus(FM1), in comparing with Ribavirin and inviro.
Results:
(1) XETRL had apparent febrifugal effect in the dosage of 1.8-7.2g/kg, the
action began at 2 hours and lasted 6 hours after the administration
(p<0.05). (2) XETRL could inhibit edema of mice ears in the dosage of
2.7-5.4g/kg(p<0.01) and edema of rats feet in dosage of
9.0-15.0g/kg(p<0.05). (3) XETRL could inhibit the growth of some respiratory
virus such as influenzal virus type A3, parainfluenzal virus type
2,respiratory synoytial virus, and adenovirus type 7 in concentration of
7-27 mg/ml in vitro, and could decrease lung lesion and dead rate of
infected mice in doage of 1.8g/kg-3.6g/kg.
Conclusions: XETRL had febrifugal, acute and chronic anti-inflammatory and
antivirus effect.
