Methods: 48 primary hypertension in children and 118 normal controls.
Plasma lipids were determined by routine methods. The concentrations
of fasting serum glucose
were determined by glucose oxidation enzymes method.
Results: Compared with control group, Prevalence Rate of
obesity and overweight was higher in children with primary hypertension. The
level of plasma total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and
apoB100 were significant
higher, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol, apoAI, apoE were
lower in primary hypertension children. The levels of blood glucose in
primary hypertension children were higher.
Conclusion: There is abnormality of obesity and overweight, lipids and
glucose metabolism in children with primary hypertension.
