Objective:
To explore the nutritional
status of Zn, Cu, Fe, Ca in children in Fuzhou district.
Methods: Investigate and analysis the contents of Zn, Cu,
Fe, Ca in hair of 489I children from 1994--200O.
Results: The contents of Cu, Fe, Ca in hair increased
gradually with age, while the contents of Zn decreased with the age, Since
l994, there had been a descending tendency of the average values of Zn and
Fe contents in hair in every age groups, Cu in the group age <6 months, Cu,
Ca in the groups age -l, -3 years.
Conclusion: The nutritional status of Zn, Cu, Fe, Ca had
been at a low level in Fuzhou district, which didn't ameliorate with the
improvement of social economic condition. It's very important to prevent
from malnutrition of these elements during childhood.
