bacteria outer membrane proteins (OMP) between SDS chemical method and
ultrasounic physical method in investigating the epidemiology of A
calcoaceticus sepsis in the new-born. Methods:
We used SDS chemical method to
break the cell wall of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus for extracting their
outer membrane proteins and then performed SDS-PAGE to investigate the
epidemiology of A.calcoaceticus sepsis in newborn infants, so did
ultrasounic physical method. Results: SDS chemical method was quite satisfactory.
Ultrasounic physical method to break the cell wall of bacteria for OMP
extraction needs refigerated ultracentrifuge (147 000xg) which very
expensive, while SDS� chemical
method only needs high speed centrifuge (38 000xg) which is much cheaper . Conclusion:
SDS chemical method is easy to popularized.
