IMMUNE-MODULATING MEDICINE �CITOTEKT� � IS A NEW STEP IN REHABILITATION OF IMMUNE STATUS AT SEPSIS ASSOCIATED WITH CYTOMEGALIA IN NEONATES.

There is not any disease that does not cause some dysfunction of the immune system. Cytomegalia and sepsis are not the exception. There is the significant oppression of immune status at sepsis associated with cytomegalia in neonates. But up to now the immune status improvement was consisted only of the correction of T-cells and gumoral part of immune system.����

The aim of our research was the study of immune-modulating characteristics of new medicine � �citotect�.

12 children (7 days - 1 year) with sepsis associated with cytomegalia and 20 healthy neonates were included in our research. The results of research shows that �citotect� improves gumoral part of immune system and T-cells and also corrects different dysfunctions of neutrofil granulocytes, which have influence on prognosis of different diseases.

The �citotect� administration at any stage of rehabilitation of immune system provides the recovery of physiological functioning of immune system with achievement of significant clinical efficacy (temperature normalization, weight growing, decreasing the hospitalization period e.c.) at sepsis associated with cytomegalia in neonates.
